to bob graham for this holiday observance it's thanksgiving here in the u.s. and it was rather important for mr carney to indicate to u.s. forces that his country is very much appreciative not just of their work but of their sacrifice given that hundreds of u.s. forces have been killed in this war which is now 18 years plus and running and can we read more into trump's decision to meet the afghan president. well certainly on a trip such as this you would think that there would be a very brief trip over to the presidential palace in kabul under extremely tight security but apart from that consider that he is still in the middle of a contested presidential election from september where he and the chief executive of dialogue or each competing to have another term as president and so it could be read that at least the u.s. administration is interested in another president. rather than seeing up to a lot duller who has tried for this post before taking on the top role it's a bit of speculation but it is interesting that the u.s. president made the effort to meet with us on this trip jordan thank you
