. >> hi, my name is sarah tam and i'm the youngest daughter.'m here to represent -- my dad's story is a he came as an immigrant and he first started walking as a temporary dishwasher in 1981. and five years he was able to work his way up as an assistant manager. my dad and a previous owner of mums went on trips to japan multiple times and they wanted to bring japanese comfort food to san francisco. they wanted to create an identity for japan town through cuisine. some of these dishes we still have today including shabu-shau many of he told his business to my dad in 2000 and has been family-run since. and in 2007, we were very lucky to be included in japan town cultural heritage and and i think that strongly influenced our ability to renew the lease with kdg and with gdb they want to incorporate us and the japan town community. we have a japanese pop theme, a mural by japanese pop artist from japan. we have picture of the staff on the wall and one of the prerequisites we needed to change our name to change and at least we weratleast we were able
