we recently christened and opened the first safe parking in district 11, the balboa bart station. this is something that has been talked about in san francisco for over a decade or more. but we actually stepped up and we're very proud to be the first neighborhood in the city to do that. and so i'm not shy to have uncomfortable conversations. i think this is one that is very uncomfortable conversation. i think you can approach it from many different angles. you can say this is developer giveaway. you can say it's not sensitive to low-income communities. or where this bill is today and where it started out, it has evolved significantly. i think the things pointed out, i appreciate what supervisor preston said, i think first and foremost, there has to be strong conversation about sensitive communities. senator wiener has made amendments to say that any community working with equity, coalition, would have a five-year moratorium of having this implemented. those conversations are ongoing. i appreciate that. actually things that there should be a further conversation in particular about

we are here at the balboa station this morning in san francisco.we can tell you that the problems are coming down to the pins that connect new train cars. that is according to the san francisco chronicle's. the pins in muni's trains only lasted three months before becoming unreliable. of to train cars became separated, the passengers would be sick because breaks would stop the cars. regardless, they are choosing not to run two-car trains. there's going to be an increase of one car trains today. they say that this will have minimal impact on capacity. they say the reason for those one car trains is due to equipment availability. it is not the first time there has been problems with pins on new cars. earlier this year, muni dealt with pensive felt at least twice, and is separated cars. we understand that muni is reportedly working on a replacement. they are working on pins to come in and making sure that those pins may have to be redesigned so that they do not have to be replaced so often. many is also apologizing this morning for any inconvenience s
