rick reichmuth is tracking the storm. matt finn is at chicago's o'hare. we just spoke to some people who have a canceled flight back to san francisco. they say they will be missing school and work tomorrow. >> a san francisco. reporter: when is the next he flight in. >> i'm flying out tomorrow evening. >> almost a full days delay. >> the boss won't be happy. but if she sees me on the news she'll believe me. >> what are you going to do tonight? >> go back home to the family. one extra day. reporter: at last check at least 76 canceled flights in san francisco and 52 in new york and knowledge and boston as the winter storms continue flight impacts could become worse. the faa slowed down arrivals in many airports in the northeast and san francisco. talking to one woman at chicago's o'hare. she is missing a full day in mexico. another gentleman says he's trying to get to 0 work tomorrow. their original flights were okay, but their connecting flights have been canceled. jon: joining us, fox news chief meteorologist, rick reichmuth. >> it's been a long lasting s

fox news rick reichmuth at the fox weather center with the latest. ck, what are we looking at here? it seems to be across the screen in certain parts. >> will not be that bad to be honest with you. for the most part people will get where they're going but there are a couple trouble spots. point them out. this is the cold arctic air, where we like it up over parts of the arctic. over the next week it didn't get down across the lower 48. the lower parts across the rockies but cold air staying off toward the north. because of that temperatures look pretty good. 56 in chicago the day after christmas which is absolutely crazy but with these warmer temperatures, precipitation we see will largely fall as rain on people. this is a storm we're talking about. across parts of the southwest. southern california really overnight tonight that energy will pull in throughout parts of arizona, bringing more rain, more mountain snow as well across mountains of arizona, throughout the four corners. this is the future radar. it plays out for thursday, friday, right here.

rick reichmuth is tracking the storm from the fox extreme weather center in new york. >> the same stormut across parts of the west to start the holiday. delays in san francisco and airport. same for seattle houston, chicago, new york, boston. delays piling up. that will have ripple effect across the northeast. we'll see conditions get worse over the next 24 hours or so this is the storm really large storm, bringing snow across areas of the north. got tail end of the front moving across parts of southern georgia throughout so the caroline, north carolina about to move offshore. the snowy side across areas of wisconsin and in towards michigan. now it is beginning to move in towards the northeast. snow falling in upstate new york. this will pull off towards the northeast. as it does, temperatures warm up. by 6:00 we're at 40 in new york. 46 in philadelphia. it becomes all rain. all rain throughout the overnight hours. eventually all rain for boston. the monday morning commute will be okay from philly towards boston. throughout the day, later afternoon tomorrow. the temps begin to drop. we'
