you can see our dickinson restaurants in large cities. you will see some of our local beef.ut the one thing that makes appalachian food what it is is its roots in place. place-based food has the utilities you may not capture when they are extracted from the place. while they are delicious and can make meals even better, it is important to note the farmer that grew them or the roadside stand where you were able to pick them up because they mean something more. is how they are putting their school. it is so much more than just the recipe. it is how we have survived from these ingredients and made them part of our food culture to make them feel popular. i think preserving the history and heritage of appalachia, and specifically appalachian food, is important to the people in this region. the biggest thing is for us to continue to document that history and pay tribute to these different traditions and write down those recipes and save them and really try to keep that placee alive and keep the in appalachian food. >> we are in charlston, home to the mountain state's radio program
