for more i'm joined now by professor archie clements he's an infectious disease specialist at curtin university in perth australia thank you very much for joining us today on this ship has been called a floating petri dish weren't health officials aware that keeping people on board pose a very high health risks for them. well yes so. what you get on a cruise ship is you get a high concentration of large numbers of people many of whom are elderly or aging many of whom have. other health conditions so i mean i think that's probably a you know i think that's pretty apt description i mean you know in some ways a salute similar to a hospital where you have large concentrations of people in one place elderly people or it on average older than the general population with significant health conditions and in hospitals you also say you know similar transmission of infectious diseases. i guess the challenges in some ways are similar if you would about the people that are still on boards or cells of people people so on board what type of risk are they facing right now. well obviously they're much higher r
