jacqui heinrich is that bernie sanders 'headquarters. what's the latest? >> sean, the doors just opened here a few minutes ago. people are starting to come in. of course a lot of excitement in the room. sanders came so close to winning this state in 2016. he lost in the caucasus by .3 percentage point. there's existing excitement for his campaign and they drew on those people to carry the senator while he was stuck in washington. i spoke to his wife, dr. jane sanders, she said last election they spent a lot of time trying to tell people who the senator was. this time around, those ideas are more mainstream. it's less about trying to win people over to their side than to really energize a groundswell of populist support that we saw work with president trump in 2016. he was the antiestablishment candidate and sanders is trying to pitch himself in that same way as someone outside the box who is consistently had different ideas and wanted to overhaul the system and helping more people come out for him. we will wait on those numbers. >> sean: thank you. joining

let's go to fox news correspondent jacqui heinrich who is on the ground where the biden campaign justpped an event today. you've been following the biden camp for a while now. today seem upbeat after new hampshire? >> tonight's event was certainly upbeat. it was a packed room and the former vice president started out by saying you have no idea how good it feels to be back in south carolina, and no doubt it does probably feel pretty good after what looks to be happening in new hampshire. absolutely an effort to divert the focus from that into a forward-looking moment for his campaign but it did come as a surprise to everyone, including his supporters and even some surrogates who told fox, what happened in new hampshire, bailing on his very own primary night watch party was disappointing, a little bit discouraging, and that surrogate said he thought voters might be a little discouraged by that too but the biden campaign is really depending on south carolina to act as a firewall. he's been touting long-standing support from the black community, saying to folks here in the crowd that you

that's proven very business it, jacqui heinrich on the latest developments from las vegas. jackie? reporter: hey, neil. well, nevada democrats are managing expectations, they're not committing to release any results today, and it's sparking some concern among the campaigns yesterday a memo went out to the campaigns from the state party saying they are abandoning the google form they plan to use to report the results and instead relying on a phone-based system. it's the second time they've shifted gears since the iowa cobias when they ditched plans to use an app. it's unclear whether they will still use the google form to factor in the 75,000 early votes to determine which candidates meet the 15% viable threshold and it's the first time in history a caucus state allowed early voting so we'll see how that plays out. today is make or break for candidates like former vice president joe biden and senator elizabeth warren who did not meet the threshold for delegates in new hampshire although warren had a record day of fundraising following her strong debate performance wednesday, she sta

real task for 2020 democrats, stay with much more diverse electorate than iowa or new hampshire, jacqui heinrichve in las vegas at another caucus site, i'm sure they're ready with the cards there as well, jacqui. >> yes, they are, bret, they are getting ready for first alignment, things i'm told at the caucus site is they are moving smoothly but i'm told from campaign sources that's not the case at other caucus locations, those sources telling me, quote, huge red flags and i'm told at least 3 precinct locations early voter data is not yet available, remember, nearly 75 nevadans -- 75,000 nevadans as early voters, this could significantly delay the process depending on how long they get data in. early voting ended 4 days ago. democratic party volunteers didn't show up to administer caucuses at a few locations, several sites, campaign staff members are being asked to act as precinct leads which they say is inheritly problematic because they are partisan and work for specific candidate, however, the democratic spokesperson told fox news there's no volunteer shortage, more than 2,000 volunteers acro
