when you look at that note of caution or note of probably good news from our friend dave weigel, do you take it to heart or do you think things are just different in 2020? >> things are definitely a little different in 2020, but i agree with dave that a lot of our electorate is not pollable. it's tough to reach our rural voters across south carolina. and so you do want to take a little bit of that with a grain of salt. we also saw a republican adviser in south carolina do a poll and had joe biden even higher in his margins. so we are definitely seeing what the campaign is calling joe-mentum across south carolina this week. and i think that he will have a very good night on saturday. >> let me ask you, amanda, about what happens next for joe biden. say he has a really good night on saturday and super tuesday next tuesday comes up, and we'll just put on the screen the forecast of delegates. california alone is likely, according to the polling right now to hand over bernie sanders quite a number of delegates. it's on the gene right over here we can hopefully see it in just a second. maybe

dave weigel, edward isaac dovere, and wanna sommers to talk more about that. dave, you just sat in that chair because you were at an event late today. you've been talking to voters, seeing the pitch these candidates have been making. how are they changing what they're saying to voters now that they're in a state with such a big latino population? >> well, it really is for some of them the first time that they're having to compete with nonwhite voters. bernie sanders has been doing so. he expanded latino turnout. amy klobuchar hasn't had to, pete buttigieg hasn't had to. buttigieg has been more adroit in reaching out to latino voters. amy klobuchar is facing questions kind of for the first time on voting to make english the official language, on her prosecutor record. she's had a good roll out to the sort of voters you heard from, moderates who worry that maid biden is not strong enough and want an alternative. elizabeth warren who organized early in nevada has a team that with a lot of roots here has residual strength here. we saw how fast it moved in new hamp
