i hope we can get this done tonight. i don't see any reason why we can't. we have a deal. there are some questions here in the last hour, but i think we'll get those done and hopefully get this voted on tonight. as we deal with these two crises, mr. president, it's my suggestion that we look at this -- how readdress dealing with this crisis in three faces. right now we're in the middle of the first phase and i would characterize it as mobilization where we've identifying the severity of the disease. we're identifying who is the most vulnerable. we're identifying what we need to deal with it and mobilizing behind that. we see a dramatic increase in the number of tests thanks to vice president pence. we still have shortages of testing kits and swabs and reagents and even testing machines but we have things like in my state where one of our major hospitals, emory university hospital has their own testing. they can do it in a matter of hours versus days and they're making that available to other hospitals in the state. this is all hands on deck. and they'll probably lose money

i hope they will accept that offer. that alone will contribute to iran being able to manage this problem, for the iranian people. i hope they will take us up on these humanitarian efforts. not only us, but countries around the world who want to help the iranian people stay healthy and mitigate the risk that is there. your third question was about the announcement that the chinese communist party made today. two things to say about that. first, in their statement, they uggested that the actions we had taken in america prompted this. this isn't apples to apples. you all know the press freedoms you have. we are joking about them, right? you get to ask me whatever questions you want and i give you the answer. we know that kind of freedom does not exist inside of china. indeed, the chinese will tell you they want more information, people to know more about the country and yet they take actions like the one you see today where they deny the world the capacity to know what is really going on inside of their country. the indivi
