i'm marianne favro in for kira klapper vianey arana is here with a at your microclimate forecast on the first day of march and yesterday you warned us about the winds. >> that is the big event today. because we have a cold front passing through. so much so that we're going to notice some temperature drops up to the north bay. so far off of ukiah, there are a freeze warning because of the teams. no freeze warning here but look at the morning lows, 42 degrees. satellite radar showcasing the system passing through. you could see a little bit of activity down through the central coast and a couple of showers up through sacramento as well and up through ukiah. now we have a chance of possibly seeing a couple of isolated showers but not really significant rain. so we're going do call this showers. but look at the snow up through the sierra. they are expecting a couple of inches of snow for the higher elevation and the temperature trend is in the 50s and the wind advisory kicks in about 10:00 a.m. so the areas highlighted of yellow. i'll go over that and who is expecting to see the gustiest wi

vianey arana has a look at our micro climate forecast. how are you this morning? >>> good morning. did get the rain on saturday and still seeing showers tracking through. you can see the activity on the radar. we have plenty of instability. this will bring a couple showers passing through early on and then scattered showers throughout the day will diminish. as we head into the afternoon we are expecting our temperatures to warm up a little bit. op out in the low to mid-60s mainly for san francisco. a predicted high of 58. 62 in san jose. 60 in oakland. 61 in concord. as we head to monday a big warm-up on the way and a bit of a dry spell. we have a lot going on in terms of plenty of sunshine. i'll have a closer look at that and what you can expect heading into monday as well coming up at 7:00 a.m. kira? >> good news indeed. we look forward to that. >>> top health officials are warning the country about a coming spike in cases. there is now sobering evidence that the fight to contain coronavirus is far from over. we have learned within the past 30 hours there was a 105% rise in calif

and vianey arana has a look at your forecast on this first day of march. >> first day of march.re seeing activity on the radar but it is not measurable amounts of rain. 46 degrees in san francisco. and overall we're expecting a cool afternoon. but the winds are really going to be the factor in all of this. and the reason for that is because that upper low will drop down and once that drops down it will kick up the winds significantly. that is going to trigger a wind advisory that is expected to start right around 10:00 a.m. some of the gustier conditions are expected to be in the mountain areas and also in hills as well. the wind advisory will remain in effect through about 9:00 a.m. on monday. and this could trigger high fire danger because we have such a dry february. so this is something that we monitor closely overnight and into early monday morning. i'll have a closer look at how windy it will be coming up at 7:00eem. >> we'll watch out for the wind. >>> now we begin with a very chaotic night in san francisco bay view neighborhood. a raging fire ripped through a warehouse,
