charles: it's a wonderful sound and when i saw the fountains at the bellagio turned back on i was actually moved by it. that's one of the most vibrant places in america in many ways the pulse of excitement, consumer discretionary spending the idea of having fun letting your hair down and so how far away is it before we're fully returned to normal? >> well i think it's going to be a while but you know charles las vegas feeds an awful lot of people every year. we're really good at these logistics so i'm in the venetian and there's this whole program clean the venetian and even the cleveland clinic is involved in making sure that it's safe but there's about 800 all safety -related procedures that are now implemented in the casinos, right from taking your temperature when you walk in, contactless check-in, limit ed people in elevators, sanitized rooms, sanitized dice, sanitized card, sanitized chips and then of course spacing at all of the tables. it's a different environment but you know charles it's still fun. charles: you know, i did read where masks were optional. how is that going to work

we know mgm grand, the bellagio has reopened over this past weekend but they're looking to reopen theuxor, the auria on june 25th, then mandalay bay and four seasons will start july 1st. it was a very successful reopening for vegas. anecdotally you saw a lot of pictures and a lot of people on the strip. this has to do with yes, a lot of promotions since the lights of the golden gate casino were giving away 2,000 one-way tickets to vegas, also you had $50 hotel rooms, resort fees and parking fees being waived and as a result, people actually came back to the strip over the weekend, but the concern is about the traffic on the strip itself and whether or not people are taking the safety precautions of wearing masks, gloves, sanitization and the like. we know 43 million visit the vegas strip each and every year. it's been shut for 76 days and there's a lot of pent-up demand and you saw some of that over the weekend, the past four days. stuart: i just like to see some numbers on how much was actually gambled, how much was put on the table but they won't tell us. i would love to know that.

the bellagio fountain show is back, honoring health care workers. nice sight, is it not?a look at caesars palace. caesar is wearing a gold mask to be politically correct right there. that's interesting look, is it not. the casino stocks are, well, they obviously have had a tough time up to now. the casino stocks trying to make a comeback. lauren, did they attract more people this weekend? the stocks are higher. lauren: well, unlike caesar, many of the visitors did not wear masks. i saw a lot of videos on social media of i have to say crowded casinos and that is great, the casinos, you know, folks are trickling in, but they weren't wearing the masks. of course, all the workers were, at many hotels and casinos i saw just on videos people are posting on social media. we don't have exact numbers from the reopening weekend yet in terms of how many beds, how many people showed up but traffic on the i-15 corridor is picking up and so are the number of flights that are flying out of the airport there. on thursday and friday, 190 arrivals but in may it was more like 140. so things
