leading off our discussion tonight is neal katyal. and, neal, i have a series of questions i could ask. but let me just say go. what do we need to know about this? >> well, i think it is a great day for democracy, a great day for the rule of law, lawrence. i have been watching commentary all day, and i have to say yours is a first that you got it absolutely right. your set piece at the beginning said they shredded donald trump's arguments. that's exactly right. that's what happened today. it is really hard to lose a case in the supreme court if you are the president. you really got to try. and today donald trump managed to do that. it was a fundament repudiation of what trump said. you know, essentially the ruling today can be boiled down into the idea that president trump, you are not a king, and the truth is going to come out no matter how much you try and hide it. now, it is a fact that the supreme court today did say that it's got to go back down to lower courts. both the house case and the case brought by the manhattan prosecutor.
