in february of 2014, six years ago, when i first started commenting on the projects, mostly in noe valley that looked like demos, my concerns beyond the loss of relatively affordable housing were also the fees that the city wasn't getting. just recently a project had a 311 notification that expired which had a major expansion, vertical, horizontal and adding a small second unit with demo calks that were close to the threshold that separated that the -- stated that the cost of the project was $50,000, which is ridiculous, insane. that seems like fee money the city should have now given the please financial situation due to the virus, but maybe the cost on the permit application was so low because d.b.i. closely scrutinizes projects with vertical expansions costing over $350,000 to make sure they're not demos. with specific regard to the demo calculations generally, back on january 23rd this year, president koppel directly asked former director rand about the demo calks and he said, is there someone who can take a look at it? but staff has already answered that question when they initiated

noe valley at 78 7 day forecast the 90's are here to stay it looks like now looking on sunday as temperatures start to warm even more so we have a chance of reaching for 100 and those in the valleys might have a bit of an offshore wind which to watch out for which could pose some problems there. robin house bay area traffic. >>well the traffic is pretty packed this morning into san francisco. i don't see any problems reported on the bay bridge. but it's definitely busy the backup that we're looking at here spills to west granted. there's another stretch coming out of the tunnel on to the suspension and if you're continuing toward the central freeway, northbound that's going to be pretty heavy as well so a lot of folks making their way into san francisco this morning, but no big problems here at the richmond sandra fell it just remains delay free it's been like this all morning. we make it a backup maybe a little bit later but for now it's in fantastic shape into the north bay and then looking at the golden gate bridge church or from the north bay to san francisco that will be south one oh one

another recent project in noe valley 4 a site permit valued at $400,000. while that seems a bit more realistic, it's still a bithlo, given construction costs. and this project also has its entitlement sale pending, even though the site permit has not been issued. and they were asking $600,000 over what the cost when they bought the building. anyway. these undervalued site permits means the city is not getting the fees it should be getting, at a time when money is really needed for the city's coffers. and these site permit applications were filed long before we had the covid, and the shelter-in-place. so asfy recognize that -- as i recognize these are really trying times and things are really difficult, i just want to bring this to the commission's attention. and hope these two projects are anomalies and the city is able to collect the appropriate and solely needed fees from developers, even during these extraordinary times. now i don't like to say who this was. because i don't like to publicly shame people who should know better. but i did send screen shot

my name is [inaudible] born and raised in san francisco mission district, currently living in noe valley. i speak today to strongly urge you to pass resolution promoting the medical and scientific collaboration between san francisco and cuba. in 2011, i was diagnosed with stage four kidney cancer and had surgery to remove my left kidney. the conversation at this time with my oncologist was buying me time. that summer of 2011, i learned cuba has a homeopathic to treat that cancer. i called my physician, and she had no data here in the u.s. it's shown to have anti-inflammatory properties. in my almost ten year journey with cancer, i've had treatments, mostly radiation and chemotherapy, and brain surgery in 2015. with kidney cancer, the five-year survival rate is less than 12%. i cannot find data on 12-year survival rates. when people ask me how well it works, i tell them i don't know, but i'm here to tell them about it. it's so important to pass this resolution and send a message to washington to collaborate with cuba and end the blockade. thank you. >> clerk: thank you for sharing your st

six of the seven libraries, including chinatown, mission, noe valley, were landmarked. for each of the six carnegie libraries, the spatial volume of the main reading room was identified as a significant character-defining feature of the building. had the golden gate valley library been designated as a landmark as planned upon completion of its renovation in 2012, its main reading room would have been identified as a significant space and feature like the six others. neighbors have submitted a landmark designation report to the planning department. planning has acknowledged receipt and plans to agendaize review of the report with the historic preservation commission. in this case, however, the department failed to analyze the potential impacts of the proposed project on the adjacent historic golden gate library. only after the department issued a categorical exemption did it evaluate the historic resource. one, the site, including the interior of the adjacent library, a known resource, occurred a day before this hearing, as acknowledged by staff today. two, the department
