why is dragon glowing right now? actually, dragon isn't glowing. what we are seeing is the reflection of the sun. right now, both dragon and the international space station not in the earth's shadow. just from this view on the camera compared to everything else being so dark in the background of space, dragon is just coming out looking a little bit whitewashed from the exposure. so not glowing, but just seeing the reflection of the sun as we sort of adjust the white balancing. siva: dragon right now departing 4.4 meters per second, about 3.3 kilometers away from and the space station. what we are seeing on the screen is the view from the international space station. dragon, about 5k away -- excuse me, about 3.3 kilometers away from the space station. we got a question on what the main differences are between the draco thrusters and the other burners. i think what lucas is referring to is the super draco thrusters. dragon has two different types of propulsion systems on the spacecraft. we have eight super draco thrusters that live in those pods on t

this was not the flirt -- the first flight of dragon to. this-- dragon two. this vehicle had a lot of capability on it that was not flown during that demo 1. so i think we are surprised, minorly surprised and incredibly pleased that this went as smoothly as a dead. there snowquester -- as smoothly as it did. and there's no question we learned things we want to roll into the crew 1 flight. we learned about preflight. and the solar arrays, we are looking to have upgrades to make sure the vehicle survives on orbit for the six-month requirement. by the way, the solar arrays on this mission did better than anticipated. and we certainly would have been able to complete the mission, the original planned mission duration, we had a couple of months of margin to spare. so, pre-we learned some things. and we will make sure we include those in crew one. as far things we learned real time today. i think instead of two generators, a primary and backup on the rescue boat or the recovery boat, i think we will have three generators, one primary and two backups. that is one ex

this flag will return to earth and the crew dragon guys spend a little bit of time on earth, and very soon make a trip to the moon in short order. yours,he flag is all it's been a pleasure, here you go. >> thanks for this. this flag has spent some time up here, on the order of nine years since we dropped it off after it flew on sts one. we are proud to return this flag it onnd see what next for its journey to the moon. words just what it was like to be a part of this expedition, expedition 63. it will be kind of a memory that lasts a lifetime for me. all of the incredible teamwork and accomplishments with the highlights being the four spacewalks we did together as a crew of five to have success and complete that part of the upgrade for the international space station, which leaves it in a great posture for the future. the other thing to think about for us is our mission is not over. the test flight is, in some ways, just two thirds complete. we completed the rendezvous and docking. we completed our docked objectives. now is the splash down phase after we undock hopefully later today.
