berkeley in pacific our kicking off this morning in the 80's hayward at 79. so a lot of you have the window open right now and are wondering where's that cool breeze that i'm looking forward to unfortunately didn't happen for a lot of us as temperatures remain so hot overnight. and then of course we have the air quality on top of that multiple wildfires burning across the region means that we still have ample smoke settling down into the region very poor air quality in parts of the peninsula, the east bay, the south bay in the north bay too. so definitely not the best one just to be outside. it's not just the heat but also that por air that's going to keep you inside more than anything. this ridge of high pressure and a stubborn in his remaining in place and it is pushing any chance of some ocean cool air out offshore unless you're just right at the shoreline. you're really not going to have much of a marine influence san francisco and other spots on the peninsula are going to be quite as oppressively hot as yesterday but still too hot to be planning too much
