travel and hospitality is still quite weak let's get the european view on this story from chelsea delaney our financial correspondent in frankfurt chelsea did you expect more from the fed. i think it's clear the markets investors were all expecting a little bit more of an aggressive stimulus our look from the federal reserve so there is definitely a little bit of disappointment at the margin part of the reason why the fed isn't being as aggressive right now is that the u.s. economy is actually doing much better than they had initially anticipated so in yesterday's meeting they they also so that they expected the contraction in the u.s. to be much less severe and now they're just forecasting a 3.7 percent contraction this year for the economy and they do expect the unemployment rate to come in at the end of the year much much lower than they had initially forecast so the u.s. economy is starting to accelerate again but at the same time they still are expecting a lot and a very long recovery from the krona virus they are now expecting u.s. interest rates to remain very low for at least 3 ye

let's go over to our financial correspondent in frankfurt chelsea delaney to talk about the effects that sinking dollar is having on european exports. so this is certainly a very important dynamic for your as well so if you think about the dollar you often think of the u.s. economy but the dollars is really it's the world's currency so any in any changes you see in the dollar it will ripple through to the global economy and here in europe this is a major concern for export dependent economies and for export dependent companies because when when the dollar weakens that means the euro is strengthening we've seen the euro strengthen about 7 percent against the dollar and the past 3 months so that means that all of these companies that are sending products abroad that are especially dependent on u.s. buyers for their products their products just got a lot more expensive in the u.s. so given how weak the economy r.t. is given how many headwinds these acts porters are already facing exports from germany fell about 20 percent of the 2nd quarter the fact that now the dollar is strengthening air

this sunday we look at the national museum of the american indian photography collection with and delaney about the history of photography and how to navigate and explore the online collection. here is a preview. looking at a group of crow indians who participated in in signing at fort laramie 1868. they were hoping for reservation and land and rights to live in the black hills. so many treaties have not come to fruition but there was hope on this day and this collection is expansive. it is about 200 images by alexander gardner. he gained fame during the american civil war, worked with the matthew brady studio and of washington dc and many images memorable from gettysburg in the aftermath of the battle, the images of soldiers who had died in the battle are his work. little was known about these photographs. i spent 30 years studying photography at the smithsonian first at the national museum of american history and out of the american indian and -- and now of the american indian and this small but significant collection was unknown to many of us at the institution until the 150 iniversary
