that was a close race between steve bullock and steve daines. we've now moved it to lean republican as steve daines, the incumbent pulls ahead. and so that does not appear to be a likely pick-up for democrats. so what's left? not much. maine for starters. that's still officially a toss-up. you'll see that susan collins is in the lead right now, but only about 60% of the vote is in. they're counting very slowly. what's really interesting in maine, where susan collins is really a survivor, really an institution, is she's actually running pretty far ahead of donald trump in that state. he is unlikely to win maine. he's got about 44% of the vote. she's got 52% of the vote in her race. so one of the few republicans tonight who is doing a whole lot better than the president is in her state. she's really on par with how joe biden is doing in that state. but we won't know what happens in maine until more of that vote is in because maine has this very unusual rank choice voting system. there's a third party candidate who is right now getting about 4% of
