mickey drexler is the founder of drexler ventures, the former chairman and ceo of jay crew, mickey, it thanksgiving. so tell us what you're seeing as the merchant prince would see it, and i know the world has changed so very very much. >> well, i see things a bit differently. first of all, i'm not a big box commodity player i don't do that. i say i'm not -- it's something i enjoy doing, so what i see for us is what i probably spent my career doing is developing, designing, running businesses that have fashion to them, and not commodities, and i also see, well, we're not running black friday today last year, our first year, and i should say, we have a small company called alex mill very exciting small business with all of our own goods designed by us, run by us, priced by us and that's what i like to do, and that's what my partners like to do. but what i'm seeing is the same old in a sense it's tough because the pandemic has made this the most difficult year on record and i think a lot of that will stay i'm kind of listening to how great people are raving, but i don't know i just don't

i went out -- yeah the calendar comes out next month. [ laughter ] i went out to dinner with mickey drexler and his team back when they were at j.crew and we came up with this thing called pocketdial which was an iphone case that looks like a pocket square. so when you put it in your front pocket it looks like you're very dapper and fashionable. we raised a lot of money for the david sheldrick wildlife trust and saved a a couple of elephants. so it was really fun and creative and a good collaboration. so i went out to dinner with mickey and his beautiful wife peggy and we're talking about what other ideas do i have because i have so many ideas that don't actually fit on "the tonight show." and i have some clothing ideas so he was like, "let's have a meeting. so we had a meeting at alex mill and we're sitting around he said, what about pajamas? and i was like, "stop. i love pajamas that's exactly up my alley it's everyone watching our show, they're in pajamas we're on late at night i love pajamas i wear pajamas every night i do have complaints."
