we have bob cusack here, myself. got to tell the audience, we may have a picture that we hang out once a year, we hang out a lot socially, but will on the hill. there it is. there's my picture. i didn't get bob in it. i wanted to say we have been calling you the once and future congressman. let me just start out and ask you. what are you going to accomplish now that you didn't accomplish before? >> to a great extent i'm returning, i think, to provide that perspective that you have when you have served for a long time in congress. some of it could be mentoring younger members. some of it could be explaining to people that we have been in the minority with a democratic president before. we worked our way through it. we have always been in the majority and worked with the democratic president before to accomplish legislation. as a matter of fact, the data act was passed with republican majority in the house, democratic majority in the senate, and president obama. one of the big cheerleaders for that act was vice preside

bob cusack, always good to see you.endary talk show host larry king who died today in los angeles. he was 87. larry king's broadcasting career spanned half a century, and he conducted an estimated 50,000 on-air interviews with world leaders, hollywood stars and just regular people. let's wring in fox news -- bring in fox news media analyst howie kurtz, host of "mediabuzz". howie, what made larry king a great interviewer? >> well, larry king, who i knew quite well, was a classic brooklyn character. he could talk to anybody about anything. he didn't make it about himself, he asked short questions, he didn't pretend to be an intellectual. he was a guy with a late night radio call-in show who put it on tv. he had all these celebrities on starting in the mid '80s, and he didn't interrogate them on. it was a safe place. all that changed in '92 when ross perot declared his candidacy on larry king live, and then bill clinton started coming on. clinton said larry king liberated me by getting me directly to the american people, h

bob cusack from "the hill." big cheese there, editor-in-chief. bob, so many executive orders, so little time. i don't know where these stack up historically but i do know as we go in modern day times from administration to administration it becomes sort of a stamp of the priorities of the new folks in town. we clearly see a lot of them on the part of joe biden. what do you make of just the sheer number and the approach he is taking? >> well, neil, i think the sheer number and the content, and there is going to be more in the coming days and weeks is really appeasing progressives because big ticket legislation that is going to be tough to get. so health care, on covid and masks as well as abortion, mexico city policy, they're all either been done or they're coming. so expect more of these. i know it doesn't sit well with republican as you know, neil, both sides have done it. neil: you know you're right. both sides have done it but normally when, you know, one side does it the other side complains, the roles were reversed four years ago, i get that

meantime, we have franchesca chambers here and bob cusack from the hill. franchesca, the administration plans to have a busy start including doing everything that they said that they wanted to do, which by the way includes the big tax hikes. they're not going to be put off. indications are that they might have a bumpy reception in congress and a 50/50 senate. but no sign yet that the tax hikes are put off. what do you think? >> what we have heard from the incoming white house chief of staff is that joe biden will use at least a dozen executive orders on his first day in office, neil and over the next ten days, he will be doing a lot more of those executive actions. the people he is close to like james clyburn, encouraged him to use as much executive authority as he can. he said he encouraged barack obama to do the same thing but he didn't use as much executive action as clyburn would have liked. that's his advice to get things done when he faces gridlock in congress. >> neil: you know, in talking to clyburn not long ago, the one thing that he left with me
