the s.f. help program. and a couple of loan programs targeting african-american and latino small businesses. and then there has been a number of federal, like, small business loan programs. you know most significantly the p.p.e. program. so, yeah, it's more of a general question. what is the sort of more strategic sort of focus of this program and how does it complement or build off of the prior local and federal small business loan programs? >> absolutely, supervisor. so, this loan program was specifically developed by the state to leverage funding to target specifically those businesses that are smaller in size. less employees, $2.5 million gross or less and those communities that have not benefitted. those small businesses that have not benefitted from traditional loans. this product was specifically -- this partnership was developed with that in mind and it will complement our other products that we currently have available. again, making them more complementary because of the interest buydown. so we're

dream s.f. fellow. i'm here to share my experience to highlight the importance of creating a funding programme like this one and specifically the importance of funding a permanent coordinator position. as a fellow, i am based with catholic charities where i create programming and provide social services for him -- undocumented and accompanied miners. i know i am making a difference within my organization and within my community. i coordinate the volunteer programme and i put on monthly workshops and i created the first ever newsletter for clients. i have been able to bring that perspective into organizations that are serving the people. i have brought into the perspective of people who are affected by these issues and people have highlighted again and again how thankful they are that i sharing that perspective with them. if it wasn't for this, i wouldn't be able to help create it and provide services for our clients. my organization wouldn't have the perspective of someone who is personally affe

coming out of the connect s.f. vision were these five core goals that provide the foundation of our work on connect s.f. we followed this vision effort with an identification of the key transportation needs for us to address, which i'll give you a few examples. and we included this in our statement of needs update to you about a year ago. for one, we'll need to address congestion and transit crowding with our plan. this heavily informs a lot of the work that i'll share on the transit investment strategy. we'll also meet our plan to address inequities in the public transit system when it comes to travel time and access to jobs. and we've also focused our strategy on promoting more sustainable modes of transportation, particularly shifting towards sustainable modes, such as transit, biking, walking, and a bit more away from auto. so with that, this leads me into the main topic of my presentation, the transit investment strategy. which builds off of much of the hard work that the sfmta in particular is doing now to re
