mr. taylor. senator cortez masto and i will plan to work on. that senator scott you are recognized. >> thank you chairwoman, rosen. mr. bill lupfer, can you talk about -- we've heard from mr. taylor. some of the challenges that they've had with labor shortages. yes thank you senator, labor shortage is not an issue that is new to us in florida. the tourism industry has grown tremendously and the population is growing, but a lot of the population growth we see in florida is retirees. i think it's interesting senator, that when you are governor you doubled, are you increase tourism promotion funding by about 15% and we hit it up. that with a 50% increase in the state of florida. certainly the economics to drive the economics to drive visitors to the sunshine state, has had more strain on the labor market. it also has affected wages. you know the minimum wage is not something that is even talked about anymore in florida's employers they're paying significantly more than minimum wage. one of the things that is particularly interesting is that the fact that teens are less and less inclined to participate in summer jobs. and
