patel. dr. patel, thanks for joining us. dr. anthony fauci says new mask guidelines may be coming regarding indoor use and masks could soon become seasonal. what do you expect to hear from the cdc? >> i would expect to see the cdc come up with more stipulations about when masks can be lifted regarding vaccination status, community transmission and the type of indoor business people are in. i agree with the seasonality. i think masks are going to be here to stay. especially if someone has cold symptoms or are in a crowded place, traveling or whatever it may be. >> this week kids as young as 12 could be approved for the vaccine. what do parents need to know about where and how to get vaccinated? >> the advisory committee meets on wednesday. if they choose to extend the eua to include those children age 12-15, we hopefully will see vaccinations in pop-up sites and primary care practices, pediatricians' offices. we know it's a trusted space for this. >> we've seen a lot of incentives from states offering free beer and things like th

patel, there are a lot of caveats in here.e specific requirements, certainly private companies may have specific requirements. but what does this mean for the average fully vaccinated person? >> yes, chuck, this is as close to normal as we could have expected. i will be honest, i'm a little surprised. it feels like we went from outdoor masks are gone but if you're in a crowd outdoors, still wear them and there was never really a discussion even about indoor masks. bottom line, if you're fully vaccinated, two weeks past the second dose or two weeks past a one-dose shot, you can take off that mask and you do not have to socially distance. you said there were caveats -- health care facilities, et cetera, local and regional guidance. i do think this is going to pose a problem kind of on the ground, so i'm eager to see how the cdc works with other agencies to give directions, tools. i promise you, all of our phones will be ringing to look for that advice. but this is a huge step and endorsement since the vaccine is so effective, so
