we go live now to political commentator, lauren chen. lauren, thanks a lot for joining us. so much for having me. my 1st question is, do you think journalists really need protection from n t f or, or do you think the republicans are just blowing it out of proportion for political reasons? well, i think and its photos speak for themselves and as terrible as the most recent beating he received was to forget that he had a long history of having to deal with not only violence from anti, but also death threats, docks of his family and harassment which goes on, and although i absolutely agree that sure, unless you need detection for me and even go further to say that everybody needs protection for mentions that you have a sentence turned portland and places like cattle into war zones at their whims. and it seems like local police and law enforcement are not doing enough about it as terrible as it is seeing those photos of andy. i also feel sorry for all the businesses who have had their, their business is destroyed or even looted because of these violence dogs. what would you say

fellow journalists did the same in downplaying anti violence, extreme isn't political commentator lauren chen says she's not expecting the, by an administration to take any steps to protect journalists from n t for people like joe biden, a o c. they are not going to be speaking out against and even violence because they know that ultimately doing so would only serve to alienate their faith and their voters last year and cheaper was targeting and attacking the government, building federal buildings, and shooting a court house as well. i mean, if you just compare what happened after january 6th, when the right wing protestors storm the capital. i mean and keep a, b, l m, they get away with so much more. and it's actually become somewhat of a joke at this point. how willing the left is to overplay an over hyper right when violence, when it does happen, and don't get me wrong. it's condemned will as well. i do not support that, but it's at the very least critical for people like joe biden, to take a strong stand against things like the january 6 event while saying absolutely nothing about the ong
