one athlete to watch is marin county's kate courtney.ford graduate number one in the world before the pandemic hit. we sat down with courtney at her peninsula home. >> this past year has been a time for me to think a lot about the things in my control and out of my control, and what's in my control is having the best preparation, the best attitude and the best support leading into the event. >> reporter: what makes you think why are you number one? >> that's a very good question. i think there is a few things. my core kind of ethos as a person is to really balance joy and hard work. i fell in love with the sport just riding as a young kid with my dad, getting blueberry pancakes, hanging out. for me there is still that joy and freedom and adventure that cycling brings. >> reporter: when you are in the middle of a ride and the competition, in a race, what's going through your mind? >> i think overall i try to just keep it really positive and come back to what i can do in that moment and that's something that i practice in training. i pract

stella kate and her mom courtney stanley join us along with dr. boys at home already, and you finally got your girl. tell us about the experience. >> we did. stella came in, guns ablazing in 39 minutes from driveway to birth. ainsley: whoa. >> she has made an impact and we love her so much. oh, she's going to wake up now. big brothers love her and she has completed our family. ainsley: congratulations well dr. hurd, why do you think we're seeing this big boom at your hospital? >> that's a great question, i don't know, ainsley. there's lots of theories on that and it's probably just the fact that we had a decrease in birth rates back in december/january/february and i think people are just catching up, economies opening up, people are getting more comfortable, but that's just me postulating. ainsley: right at the very beginning of covid we thought we'll see a big boom in the fall or in wintertime but i think a lot of people are scared and then the vaccines were rolling out and maybe that's one of the reasons do you think? >> i do think that, yeah,
