mr. perry: i thank the good gentleman, mr. womack. i have three amendments to this legislation. fourteenth amendment number 180, this fourteenth amendment strikes a provision allowing the h.h.s. secretary to use $7.8 million to purchase electric vehicles and electric vehicle charging stayings. if they want to own their $80,000-plus tesla, they should purchase it but shouldn't require the taxpayers to pay for that kind of thing. fourteenth amendment 121 strikes e.d.'s from the g.s.a. they want to purchase these vehicles with their money. if they want to do it on their own. if you consider the post office, these vehicles are heavier than your regular vehicle. but post office has 200,000 of these vehicles and just keep in mind that these vehicles don't pay into the highway trust fund, heavier and more maintenance. and fourteenth amendment 124 which strikes the exemptions. it sets the limit at $20,000. if we are going to purchase a vehicle, that's great. you get $20,000. you don't need to ride in special luxury but set an exemption because they want to exempt the $20,000 that the re
