joining me now to discuss is home school advocate carrie mcdonald and former teachers arlene that andnce are looking at it. i know i thought about it but it terrifies me. so, tell me what's the first thing if you are thinking about it that you need to do to get started on home schooling or to process whether your family is the right family to do this. >> good morning. yes. there has been extraordinary growth in home schooling numbers over the past year. i think a lot of families realize that home schooling isn't as intimidating as they may have previously thought. they are realizing that there are very online learning resources available to them that are really high quality. much better in many cases than zoom schools that kids have been participating in. and many of these programs are free or low cost. they are also able to connect with local home school groups. that's often my first piece of advice is find facebook groups or other social networks in your local area. they have seen tremendous growth and numbers as well this year and typically really welcoming of perspective home cool
