j.r.: welcome back. new developments tonight and the mysterious deaths of a northern california family and their dog in the sierra national forest. investigators are looking into whether toxic algae blooms may have played a role. a husband, wife, their one-year-old daughter and the dog were found on the remote hiking trail on tuesday in mariposa county. there was no sign of trauma, nor was there a suicide note. the area is near a mining so investigators could look into whether toxic gases are to blame but that is mineral will that. we are looking more -- in learning more about the rescue of family stuck in the delta. they rescued a total of four people on thursday. rescuers told us a family of three was on the boat that had mechanical problems. a family friend on a separate boat came up to help them and also got stuck. crews say rescues in the area are not uncommon. >> the delta iselta iselta isela unforgiving, so folks get stuck quite a bit. we launch our boat on average once a month to assist people wh

anchor: j.r. stone joining us live from the newsroom. san francisco is about to get a lot tougher when it comes to vaccinations. reporter: they are. does this owners i talked with hope it brings people in versus scaring them away because they say it's been tough of late. enforcement of some of these restrictions could take officers off the streets. san francisco police officers, firefighters, and sheriff's office deputies are feeling the pressure to get vaccinated. the city now recommending that eight officers, seven firefighters, and two deputies be suspended without pay for not reporting their vaccination status. the news comes in light of additional san francisco restrictions that all of us will face come friday. proof of vaccination will be required at indoor businesses like bars, restaurants, gyms, and museums like the exploratory him. >> the momentum is in the direction of requiring vaccinations. you won't be able to go to a restaurant. why should you come here and have a different set of rules? reporter: while most museum patrons

as j.r. stone explains some students and staff are now in quarantine.t oakland high school covid warning signs are out but nothing that mentions the classroom of students and staff that is now in covid-19 protocol after at least three people tested positive for covid-19. >> i expect people to catch covid but not the first week. reporter: he was in a mask and face smeeled when we talked with him. he is not sure which classroom is quarantined but is being cautious. at oakland high a total of 16 tested positive. montclaire elementary has three positive cases and is under quarantine. there are five total cases at the school. >> it is alarming but not surprising. reporter: parent wes spoke with though are not ready to pull their kids out. the districts and doctors remaining optimistic. >> so far we haven't seen any cases since school opened that we know are community transmitted within our schools. >> most of the kids get it from the community. the school is actually a very controlled environment. reporter: as for the kids, they are also staying strong. >> i
