we've had an of a westerly wind. in fact, a bay area air quality management is was forecasting that we've see some poor air quality. but right now we're good conditions all around the bay area that may change a little bit tomorrow. and i think especially as we get into next week, i'll show you more on that in just a minute. but you can see up to the north now you see a little swirl in the atmosphere that was that area of low pressure coming in and really started to change the whole wind patterns in and around these fires. so to get that normally plume of smoke. all of a sudden you get the fire being pushed more toward an easterly direction. we saw that in the quincy fire to as all that smoke from the fire. something all of a sudden interacts with that low and you see it moving eastward. now, the winds have been whipping around there today and they continue to do so. but i think as we see the rotation around that area of low pressure. all of a sudden we start to see the forecast and that smoke starts to seep back into

we get more of a westerly component. >> to that wind. and that's bringing us that nice fresh ocean air into the bay area. that's the case. again for tonight. we're seeing that fog move on shore once again. well, the air quality looking pretty good around most of the bay area. the one exception is oakland otherwise it is nice and green and clean in san francisco. same with mountain view san jose. seeing some moderate amounts of smoke there and they point you're looking at some clear conditions and vacaville up in the santa rosa too. so that's great news there. but again, we get a change in the wind pattern. we may have all changed. be dealing with smoke again right now. doesn't look like that's going to happen. we've got the fog moving on shore right racing up and bumping up against the east bay hills at this hour and we'll see more of that on the way. of course, those fires continuing to burn until those fires go out. we have to deal with the smoke issues. not only here but around the state in far northern california. a lot of smoke of b
