dr. colfax says his team is taking a look at the issue as the city sees a positive path downward in terms of both cases as well as hospitalizations. where the state stand in transmission rates? california is leading the nation with the lowest rate of transmission, and california is substantial and other state is in the high category. the latest numbers show the rate has fallen to 7%. san francisco was at 2.3% of transmission, and the cdc's threshold is under 5% to reduce the mask mandate. there's a chance we could see a higher rate of vaccination if the pfizer vaccine for the kids 5 to 11 is approved, and then you would see more individuals receiving that vaccine. local officials saying we're on a good path with cases down and vaccination rates up. >> hopefully we will get to move forward soon. thanks, cierra. >>> taking a live look at san jose where city workers are facing a vaccination deadline. starting tomorrow they must show proof of vaccination or they risk losing their job. the city is also limiting its weekly testing alternative only to those eligible for a medical or religious ex
