i'm brian sullivan here we go it looks like the everything rally is going to roll on again today.ures are higher once again. nasdaq futures up more than .5%. dow futures up about 100 points. there is another big day of earnings on tap. so far the numbers we have seen have been good bank of america doing a nice wrap up of the numbers so far and here is what they found. in all, as of right now, 117 s&p 500 companies have released their numbers. of those, 79% have beat on earnings per share 72% on sales and 62% on both eps and revenue. on average companies are beating analyst estimates by about 4%. but two groups of stocks are doing much better than the overall averages the banks, the financial stocks beating by an average of 13%, and oil and gas stocks beating by about 7%. look at those numbers, pretty good >>> getting a check on this morning's big money movers, speaking of oil and gas or not tesla hitting a $1 trillion market cap yesterday on news that hertz is ordering 100,000 cars to build out the electric vehicle fleet. tesla closing up 12% on the day, one of the best days in a

i'm brian sullivan, happy monday it is not maybe the most happy monday for stocks, at least right now. it is very early the futures they are slightly down, down a couple tenths of 1%. dow off 65, nasdaq off 58. nothing to go back to bed over yet. all three averages snapping three day win streaks but remember the macro markets did well last week, ended up and, in fact, the dow posted its best week since back in june. not bad. it's been, and remains, all about oil and gas this year and energy is still rocking and rolling. up 5% last week, trying for its fifth straight winning streak in a row. we are seeing gas and oil prices up again right now, crude oil is above 81 a barrel. natural gas, it did snap a six week win streak falling at least here but in europe prices are about 500% more than we are paying we'll get more on that throughout the day i'm sure. and the wild ride for wood may not be over just yet lumber futures up more than 6% on friday. up 15% last week for their strongest week since july. lumber up 52% in the last seven weeks. had a spike, then a drop and now it's up again. an

i'm brian sullivan good to be a back with you happy thursday morning here's how your money is shaping up on this thursday. stock futures are higher across the board. dow and nasdaq each up more than .5%. the nasdaq futures up 131 points dow up 200 as well this is after we were up pretty much -- exactly totally flat on the dow wednesday. from economic today we get the latest producer price index. a lot of focus on inflation and the weekly jobless claims data banks are in focus once again. earnings today from bank of america, citi group, wells fargo, morgan stanley, u.s. bank corp., all out today wow, all that after j.p. morgan easily beat expectations yesterday in part because of better than expected loan loss and a little bit of release from its reserve but we won't talk about that ahead of the results let's check on treasuries. the 10 year yield, pushing back lower. it is at 1.54% we also have to talk about the story in the global markets and that is, what else, energy costs on the rise. oil right now back above 81 per barrel here, 84 per barrel in europe and natural gas creeping clo
