a viewer sent us this video of that scene near the milpitas square shopping center where it happened.tigators say an officer tried to stop a car suspected of being stolen friday afternoon. they say the driver inside of that car, then started firing up the officer. the officer returned fire injuring the suspect at the very end of the video. you can see the officer firing those shots as the suspect then locked himself inside of the car. medics took that suspect to an area hospital to get treated but is now in custody. so far. we know no other details about who the suspect is at this point. san jose police responding to a wild scene a combination of a shooting and stabbing on him. poli lane around 4 this morning when officers got to the scene, they say they found 3 men suffering from injuries. one man had 2 men had stab wounds, one of them with life threatening injuries. a 3rd man was found shot. he also suffering from life threatening injuries as well. investigators say they still don't have any clue about how this all started or any idea about a suspect. anyone with information are urg

we have some new video out of milpitas this morning showing the moments during an officer-involved shootingappened on friday and across for a viewer sent us this video shot from across the parking lot is police there at the milpitas square shopping center were converging on to this vehicle. police say that an officer tried to stop the car because they thought it was stolen. turns out it was in the driver ended up shooting at police. and that's when officers fired back. striking the shooter who been treated at the hospital and is now under arrest. we'll have more on the story is more information comes out. meanwhile, in the south woman accused of hosting drinking and parties for minors is expected to be brought back to the bay area. shannon o'conner is being extradited from idaho. she's accused of buying alcohol for minors and then luring them on social media to house parties in los gatos and that is where teenagers say they were pressured to drink and have. >> time now is 9.25 in jury selection begins today for the trial of 3 men who are charged with killing ahmaud arbery in georgia. gregor

where we are headed for the south bay. 87 in gilroy. 82 in milpitas and 86 in los gatos. for the east bay, low to mid-80s with livermore reaching 85 degrees and mid-70s near the coast. really nice to go to the beach this weekend. all up and down the coast we'll see a warm-up for today and tomorrow. san francisco reaching into the upper 70s downtown and north bay temperatures reaching 84. ukiah and sonoma. and also going to see those temperatures warming up for the coast. but then looking ahead, we'll start to see some big changes with a strong cold front coming in. a lot of the models showing a slight chance of north bay showers on sunday and then starting to cool off as we go into early next week. that's the first wave of cooler temperatures but then another one right behind that. maybe less rain but definitely more cloud cover and temperatures continue to drop. now we heard the word from noaa that la nina has officially developed. there's the warm pacific blob that we talk about. the warm sea surface temperatures to the north and the storm track that often gets driven f

you can see down here in the south bay, we have 73 in san jose, milpitas at 75. let's take it to the east bay. the mid-90s we have, those are gone. martinez 73, and for heyward 67. peninsula, probably need at least a light jacket through a good part of the day. 66 in san mateo and 69 in redwood city. it's chilly at the marina, and mission, 64 degrees. for the bay going out to the coastline, down to 59 at bodega bay and sonoma in the 70s. i'm tracking a second system and it's going to give us a reinforcing shot of some cold air. rainfall chances right now stay away, unfortunately, for the bay area. you can see in san francisco it's cooling off to some 60s here. low 60s once you roll into friday and we're watching for some wind next monday and tuesday that would increase our fire danger. through the inland valleys we're back into those 60s. look at this. thursday and friday the 60s. this weekend back into the 70s and some wind next monday and tuesday. i tell you, this thursday and friday, it's going to be really nice this week. >> we're loving it. thank you, jeff.

we have an accident a southbound north of 2 37 east in milpitas. we're going to actively be tracking your weather and traffic this morning. give yourself more time because it is certainly coming down. this week's raid really won't be enough to give much of a boost to the bay area's water supply. the lexington reservoir near los gatos is now just 18% full. all the other reservoirs, the santa clara county are down to a combined 10% of capacity. >> the santa clara valley water district says it's gonna take a lot more the rain to help. >> we really need a good snow pack because that's 30% of the state's storage. and this year it all sunk into the soil and it didn't run off and it didn't go into the rivers. >> and you know that they're still telling everyone to conserve water last month. the state recorded only a 5% water use cut. the governor is asking for at least 15. after burning for more than 2 months the caldor fire is now fully contained burned nearly 222,000 acres force the entire city of south lake tahoe to evacuate. crews say people might stil

now and milpitas and fremont the east bay. you're seeing some of that rain, too. to see more of that on the way, though, kind of unsettled here for the 24 hours or so, then we're going to get some heavy rainfall. you see this stream of moisture that continues to roll into the bay area. so nothing real heavy, you'll see some moderate amounts of rain. occasionally and then it will dry out of course, mostly cloudy skies and then as we get ready for the following day. we're going to see things change. in fact, here comes the cold front. you can already see this set itself up here. the rain line probably lift throughout the day tomorrow. and then here comes the cold front dropping to the bay area that's going to bring another round of some heavier amounts of rainfall. i think that coming early on friday morning. i think that commute could be a little bit. wet may move through just before the main commute. but otherwise looks like things will be pretty slick early on that we may see some sunshine by friday afternoon. then we get ready for the weekend. and after that mea
