minneapolis, it's interesting, when i worked at the "star tribune" in minneapolis the minneapolis "star tribune" building was very prominently downtown with the "star tribune" carved in stone into the top of the building. if you're going to a viking game you're going to see the "star tribune" as this big sort of institution anchoring downtown. and now it's in a beautiful skyscraper, still downtown. the name of a newspaper is not quite so prominent, and a former site of the "star tribune" building is occupied by the viking stadium. an expanded viking stadium. i feel ambivalent about it. on the one hand, the "star tribune" staff has been reasonably robust thanks to some of the, has come back after one of the most troubling periods i will say that any metropolitan newspaper has gone through, just, that's a story for another day. there's a real, there's a vibe that the paper is active in its community, healthy relative to where it was, still fighting for its existence every day here but i don't know when minneapolis was experiencing its peak ways of protest in 2020, last year, i don't know
