tiffany, talk to me about what should happen november 3. if you had seen 24 hours ago talking up a rate hike in the fed next year. where are you in the moment? tiffany: we think that you probably get a rate hike in the beginning of 2023. the reason for that is we still believe inflation is likely to moderate by the end of next year. there has been a series of shocks, if you will, that have kept inflation more higher for a little bit longer and people were expecting. but we do ultimately think that comes down. that you give the fed a little bit of reading room -- breathing room in the latter half of next year and as a result, we think it will be 2023 before they hike. lisa: do you think fed officials appreciate the tightening of the labor market? tiffany: i think there are -- they've certainly highlighted what we would agree are temporary trends that will probably result in the labor market being tighter than it other would be and that helps general anxiety around health. a lot of these service jobs are very public facing and of course there

just take a look at the child tax credit, tiffany. this $300 tax credit that families are getting right now. school just started back about a month or so ago in many places. i can tell you, there are many families struggling to make ends meet to get the school supplies and there was that $300 tax credit that was able to give them a little relief. we have to continue that on and but what we as democrats have to remind people is that only happens because people voted in november and they voted again in january in georgia and they elected democrats in the house, the senate and the white house. that's why they got those benefits and the only way those benefits will continue is if democrats are left in office. because not one republican voted for that and that is having a real world impact on the bottom line for many of these families. we look at some of the hpcus and some of the funding that was given through the american rescue plan to the historically black colleges that kept many of them opened during this pandemic. that only happened

good morning tiffany, and states attorney mosby.had a humanitarian crisis in our jails and in our prisons before the pandemic, and the pandemic certainly has exacerbated the problem, but according to the prison policy initiative, for example, we have nearly 500,000 people in jail every night who have not been convicted of a crime. approximately 320,000 of them are in on low level, non-violent accusations. so if fulton county and other jurisdictions are tracking this national trend, then following what states attorney mosby just described, which is to release people from jail who are facing those particular low level and nonviolent crimes will make more room for paying attention to the more serious offenses, but i want to be clear about that as well. the presumption of innocence is a bedrock principle of our criminal legal system and it must be protected at all times. use of cash bail is not effective. it is not necessary to have people return to court. it certainly does not ensure public safety. when we talk about returning to court

>> tiffany, it's good to be here as always, we are working hard to get this done. we have to get it right. if it takes an extra week, to me it's worth it. we are getting much closer. at the end of the day, even some of the things that you had on the chopping block i don't think are actually gone. so we're still working very hard to make sure there is some form of medicare expansion. not everything we would do. but we need 50 votes in the senate. also on the clean electricity performance plan, while that particular plan seems to not be in, because senator man chin just can't do it. he can't get there, we are looking at other ways to replace it with something that really will lead to real carbon emissions reductions. on top of that, the tax cuts for the wealthy, tax increases for the wealthiest and biggest corporations to pay their fair share, that is still very much on the table, not perhaps in the way that we had originally envisioned, but very much on the table in terms paying for all of this. i still feel very hope. i will go over to the column of what's in there

officer tiffany victoria enrique, from honolulu.er to die in the line of duty in the honolulu police department. her boyfriend also an officer called her, quote, the most hardworking, amazing, fiercest officer i've ever known. my heart is shattered, and she was my love, my rock, my strength. so many. officer charles brazildo passed away in 2016, but he was recognized in his line of duty this year. he was part of an elite unit, the port authority of new york and new jersey. trained to perform technical rescue operations. after the terrorist attack on september 11th, he was assigned to search and recovery, recovery efforts in the world trade tower. he like so many others contracted cancer. he died of cancer following that assignment. he made friends wherever he went. he loved the outdoors. he was his neighborhood go-to guy, organizing almost anything including hunting expeditions. we're acutely aware that behind each name are families. we know from personal experience that every time there's a ceremony and memorial honoring your lost
