just take a look at the child tax credit, tiffany. this $300 tax credit that families are getting right now. school just started back about a month or so ago in many places. i can tell you, there are many families struggling to make ends meet to get the school supplies and there was that $300 tax credit that was able to give them a little relief. we have to continue that on and but what we as democrats have to remind people is that only happens because people voted in november and they voted again in january in georgia and they elected democrats in the house, the senate and the white house. that's why they got those benefits and the only way those benefits will continue is if democrats are left in office. because not one republican voted for that and that is having a real world impact on the bottom line for many of these families. we look at some of the hpcus and some of the funding that was given through the american rescue plan to the historically black colleges that kept many of them opened during this pandemic. that only happened
