you live picture after a show you the temperatures because it's getting cold, near freezing around brentwoodlivermore. in tahoe, it is 10 degrees. you are good to go if you are planning to go over the next couple of days. it's going to actually start to snow on tuesday. wednesday, rain and snow. then it gets heavier thursday and friday. by morning, 29 in fairfield, down to 30 degrees in livermore. definitely the winner sheltered valleys cold and you are going to have some fog around. so definitely be prepared for fog and frost. as we checked out visibility at this hour, it's down to a mile and a quarter in santa rosa, just a half of mile in ukiah and one mile in fairfield. allow yourself a little extra time if you do have plans to get to where you need to go. also, we're watching the central valley fog, which is going to spill over and continue to move in towards parts of the east bay and north bay. tomorrow morning, it will be dense. but new time, it starts to. this is going to impact temperatures because it is slower to clear in those areas. from our emeryville camera, all decked out, cold

but it is clear elsewhere and that's also keeping those temperatures down as we take a look at brentwood. still in the upper 50s. compare that to livermore and dublin where it's all clear. temperatures are already in the mid to upper 60s. so it is a mild day away from the fog and our temperatures will continue to warm up. in fact, some new records may be set. we'll be very close today. santa rosa heading up to 72 degrees. the record is 73. all of these records were set in 2001, and it's been since then that we've had temperatures that have been very mild for this time of year. but today we are expecting some warmer weather. so we'll keep an eye on that. i'll have a look at what's expected for the rest of the week coming up in a few minutes. >>> a follow-up in the deadly school shooting in suburban detroit. a fourth victim has died. authorities say 15-year-old justin chilling, 14-year-old hana st. julian, 16-year-old tate maier and 17-year-old madison baldwin were all killed by their 15-year-old classmate. eight others, including a teacher, were injured in yesterday's rampage. overnight m

it started just after 6 30 on delta road in the town of nytsyn just east of brentwood. in oakley, firefighters say when they arrived, they discovered a number of animals trapped inside the barn and called contra costa county animal services. we arrived on scene and found that the owner was able to salvage 15 of their dairy cattle. they broke through the barn and got out and then the renters on property was able to secure them. officials say 13 or 14 dairy goats died in that fire. firefighters say the biggest challenge is in the water supply in that area. we don't have hydrants typically in this area , so we have to bring our water tenders in and do water shuttles from the nearest hydrant. the nearest hydrant from this location is approximately two miles away. animal services says they will have a better idea of exactly how many animals died in the fire when it is safe to enter the barn. a bill that seeks to solve more cold case homicides is now advancing in the house. it was introduced by east bay congressman eric swalwell. it's called the homicide victims families righ
