jon moulton was an early private equity investor.t is the motivation for people who are involved in private equity finance? very straightforwardly. people get involved in private equity finance as they are in any other form of investment with a view to making returns. if you went back to when i started in private equity, anything under 30% was regarded as poor. his team brought together investors to buy four seasons in 1999 and sold it to another private equity group five years later, making more than £250 million. since then, the world's changed. after the financial crash in 2008, government funding was squeezed as part of austerity. now it's not so easy to make money. on the whole, they're not making a lot of money. perhaps they were at one stage. but they really aren't now. so, what does this mean for four seasons? we asked two experts to dig into their recent accounts. my name is vivek kotecha. i am a forensic accountant, particularly focused on the companies that operate in the health and social care sector. hiya, my name is chr

joining me now to discuss, democratic congressman seth moulton of massachusetts, he's a member of thed just returned from a trip to ukraine. congressman, thank you for taking the time this morning. >> good to be here, jim. >> the position the president and the white house has been take a pause in effect, allow time for diplomacy, you had this face to face meeting last week via video conference in which the president delivered warnings, but russia's continued to spend more troops. i wonder from your view is the time for diplomacy over? >> no, i mean, ultimately we want to resolve this diplomatically. but the way that we do that is by convincing putin that the cost of invasion are too high. and so while we're pursuing diplomacy, doing what the administration is doing, we also need to be ensuring that we're getting weapons to ukraine, weapons that will make it difficult for putin on day one, that we're getting together with our allies and putting together sanctions that can go into effect the second putin innovate invades. that's what you need to prevent the full scale invasion, somethin

part of that is seth moulton. west's efforts to deter putin working, do you think? >> well, he's clearly trying to divide the alliance and in a sense they're obviously starting to have some effect because he's meeting with us and trying to get some concessions. but i don't think that we're acting quickly enough. he's moved very quick three move these troops into place. we need to respond even more quickly to show him the true cost of a potential invasion. >> you're sending a memo to president biden summing up what you think you learned on the trip to ukraine. you say, quote, we need to be less concerned about provoking putin and more concerned about deterring him. we need to make it clear not only to putin and the russian people that a lot of russian boys will die on day one, unquote, if there is an invasion. another invasion of ukraine by russia. publicly president biden has not done that. he has not said anything like that. instead he's threatened sanctions. do you disagree with biden's approach? >> i think fund
