pools on the road or even worse in people's homes in san francisco, christian caftan, ktvu fox two news and the wet weather is also headed to orangey. down south and with that comes fresh concerns about mud and debris flows in some of the burn scar areas. effective tomorrow and evacuation warning will be issued for silverado canyon, williams canyon and marc jessica kenyon in the 2020 bond fire burn area. that's because of possible debris flows there. people in those areas were busy today preparing with sandbanks to protect their properties. the national weather service has issued a flash flood watch for the burn scar area starting tomorrow night. those voluntary evacuations are expected to remain in place through friday. pelota homes are in danger, and some homes have already been lost. we've had. it's a great community here, so everyone is pitching in to help. but i think there's concerns that if it rains really, really heavily again, then we'll probably see you know. issues with the creeks and homes that have not been seen for many, many decades here. residents there are being encouraged to leave early and stay with friends, fam

orange begin to show up. those are moderate downpours. so if in along the peninsula in the san francisco. you're seeing some heavier downpours move in those directions. you see some of those cells now moving into san francisco as we take you down to some street level now and you could see those downpours coming right through. so right there along 2.80, and the daily city, of course, that could be an issue. got to watch that very carefully. a lot of ponding out there on the roadways. also, as you get a little bit closer toward coma. you're seeing that heavy a storm come through. they're stretching over the and the southern parts of pacific. you've got another cell that's just about to come onshore. so you get toward a shelter kolbe of valley there are plenty more rain storms come your direction and then just over the hill in san bruno. more light showers that continues across the bay. now as we're seeing some of those showers begin to be picked up in places like san leandro, a san lorenzo. you're seeing some rain in your neighborhoods and now is get more prevalent around the bay area. this

pockets of the yellow and the orange that you see there, that's what we could see, heavier downpours at times. the morning commute will be soggy, especially down through the sanjosÉ mountains. notice the approaching rains are here, and still a couple rain-shadowed areas. you will see on and off rain through the first half of our rain today. notice the pink color change here. cold and low snow levels with the arrival of a cold front, and this will bring us a change into snow and possibly a little sleet at times into tuesday evening, especially for some of the higher elevation areas here in the bay area. we saw snow on some of our peaks this weekend, and elevations at 4,000 feet, 3,000 feet, and that's common, and once it falls below the 3,000 elevation mark, that's when it gets interesting. we will get rain to showers at times, and daytime highs will be in the 50s. it's going to be a little chilly, but as we head into tonight look what happens into the temperature wise area. we get this cold pattern that locks in, and this is going to drop our temperatures down. look at the polar air outlook, the purple air is that cold air blast. that's what is going to bring

that's also true, right around richmond on over to san francisco and even on over to berkeley oakland on up to allay too. all these areas in the yellow or orange indicating those heavier pockets of rain fall that we are currently in the midst of. we're also seeing some lighter to moderate showers further inland across the east bay. but definitely an active morning, especially right over here right over some your bridges like the bay bridge moderate showers in the santa cruz mountains, especially lighter showers. once you drop into the santa clara valley. morgan hill, some moderate showers for you. and the sierra nevada is back to that rain. snow mix. it's still very mild and warm out there. unseasonably so still on the warm end of the system. but we are going to be seeing colder weather just around the corner. another round of cooler air stashed right behind this latest cold front is going to further cool things down as we work our way through this forecast. so this morning is bringing some of heaviest of intensity rainfall. heavy pockets of rain pushing through well, throughout the course of the morning still at 09:30am. you're going to be in

san diego county. invest gators have confirmed four people died in a fiery plane crash there. investigators say the plane had taken off from orange candy. you can see plumes of smoke following the crash last night. pieces of the aircraft scattered on the street as crews worked to extend the flames. invest gators are still working to figure out what exactly caused this crash. a tennessee woman is facing federal charges for allegedly assaulting two crewmembers during a spirit airlines flight in november. the justice department says amanda henry was drunk and vaping on her november 27th flight from ft. lauderdale to nashville. at one point during the flight, they say henry headed toward the main cabin door and asked two flight attendants try to restrain her, she kicked and pulled their hair. henry turned herself in on charges of interfering with a flight crew. she faces up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. right now 25 of jury deliberations are underway in the fraud case of elizabeth holmes. the jury returned from a brief holiday break yesterday. verdict is expected by the end of this week. the lengthy process is likely rai
