m.t.a. but also the school district and the police department, et cetera. we were created in 2018 at a time when the board of supervisors asked the m.t.a. to step up and take on management of this program to better into alignment the efforts of the m.t.a., the enforcement, crossing guards, and engineering along with the outreach and education that was already happening in san francisco. our primary goals are to both ensure greater safety around our schools but also to help supportive transportation and transit youth in getting to schools. much of the work that our office engages with, with your office is concerns that come up, but we have a proactive program that includes school safety and projects that are in corridors outside our program, but we have engineers and planners who actually go out and based on the data of collision around schools and whatnot and community input proactively identify areas for safety improvements before new issues arrive. i'm not going to try to read this slide, but as i mentioned there are a lot of places that our engages in school safety and it is the goal of our program to
