. >> good morning, commissioners, rachel hyatt. i will share my screen. i am presenting the recommendations for base toll and affordability policy in 2011 the treasure island agreement and transportation plan was approved. recognizing transportation is the key challenge to the success of this growing san francisco neighborhood. the transportation plan addresses the challenges of mitigating impact from congestion and vehicle travel on the bay bridge providing for the high quality new transportation alternative needed to provide the options other than driving and ensuring there would be committed permanent operating funding to support those new transit services into the future. to do that the transportation plan calls for more muni service and new regional service and new ferry from san francisco and new bus service from east bay along with on island circulating shuttle. discourages peak period driving through toll, priced parking and through other travel demand management congestion management mechanisms. the transit services are meant to help us achieve 5
