there isn't a cure in the government's current arsenal for ptsd or tbi which needs to be expanded, in my opinion, to include therapy, something called hyperbaric oxygen therapy, that i have worked with for over five years. as a physician, i have found that it has been successful in treating many veterans where no other treatment resulted in good results and impacts the symptoms of ibs on the brain. it involves placing the patient in a pressurized chamber while breathing pure oxygen. by delivering pure oxygen in pressure, their blood levels helped heal vital organs. i've received hyperbaric oxygen myself for 30 years in the treatment of wounds, and i believe these wounds to the brain are something worthy of investigating hyperbaric oxygen therapy. peer reviewed double blind studies have confirmed the effectiveness of treating hbot and treating ptsd and tbi. the number of cobat veterans who have used this therapy said it restored function and well-being. perhaps most important, the return of hope, hope that they had lost that is responsible for the elimination of the suicidal ideation.
