al roker is tracking the severe weather system what's the latest? >> we are not out of the woods by any means, lester. in fact, you can see we've already got tornado warnings out 22 million people at risk damaging hail, tornadoes, wind gusts of up to 75 miles per hour tomorrow that shifts to the lower mississippi and gulf coast. several significant tornadoes likely with possibility of tornadoes overnight. those are twice as deadly and then wednesday it's along the southeastern atlantic coast. for 25 million people wind gusts of up to 60 miles per hour and we can't rule out a tornado or two plus, we've got 16 million people under flood watches from memphis to houston out to birmingham, with some places picking up to 6 inches of rain before this is all over lester, we are most concerned tonight, tomorrow night with these overnight tornadoes. those are the deadly ones >> dangerous time of the year all right. al, thanks very much >>> in texas, winds from that severe weather could further spread some big wildfires that have already burned more than 50,00

roker, how about a check of the weather >> pro tip from ms. guthrie.ble stretching from wichita all the way down to central texas on tuesday. wednesday, that moves to the east, paducah, memphis, tuscaloosa, jackson, all the way down to new orleans. all those hazards, high winds, hail, and tornadoes all possible early next week. for today, damp start to the day in the east. beautiful weather down through the gulf. fire danger making its way through the plains because of the dry conditions, breezy conditions, snow showers around the great lakes, and today into tomorrow, record highs throughout much of the west. that's what's going on around the country. here's what's happening in your neck of the woods. >>> around the bay, out towards the east, walnut creek breaking out the sunshine, 48 degrees, one location that should be seeing highs climbing into the 70s later today. san jose, low 70s, 62 san francisco, 66 in oakland. get ready for big changes midway through the weekend. tomorrow should be a dry day, maybe not quite as warm. look what happens sunday.
