that's a greater majority, that's one more vote than either clarence thomas got in 1991 or amy coney barrett got two years. so it's not by my means the closest supreme court vote. it's a more comfortable margin than some recent nominees have had. second, lester, i have to say that she's not going to be a supreme court justice until stephen breyer leaves the court. she may get a ceremonial swearing in tomorrow at the white house, but she has to take two oaths to become a justice. she also has to take the judicial oath and they didn't give her that until stephen breyer leaves the court and makes room for her to get on the court which will be late june or laterally july. these sorts of overlaps are unusual, but she's making history in another way. this is the longest such overlap between the time a person is confirmed by the senate before they can take their place on the court. but she will have the whole summer to get ready, which is more time than most supreme court incoming freshman justices get. now, one question she's going to have to face is whether she will recuse or not take part in one
