earlier today we had the chance to speak with corie barry, the ceo of best buy at one of her beautiful midtown manhattan stores take a look. corie, when you talk about best buy, you don't talk about equipment. you don't talk about the beautiful store. you talk about purpose why? >> purpose is the foundation of why we exist on the planet our purpose we believe is to enrich lives through technology. and don't confuse wit a tag line it is genuinely why we exist on the planet if you were to talk to any employee in this store, they do their job because they want to help the customer accomplish something. not for just a skew or a product, the customer wants to do something they want a better home office they want a better kitchen they want to entertain with their kids i think for our employees, really staying focused on the reason why we exist on the planet, differently than anyone else has been really core to our beliefs. >> to some degree, that has to explain why you have among the lowest turnover of any retailer. turnover being the bane of the profit existence. >> of course you have to pa

our brand still represents a tremendous value. >> and, jim, you spoke to corie barry from best buy, as well you asked her about the consumer why don't we take a listen to that, too. i think it sets up well for this conversation. >> two things you can say about the consumer e uneven and unpredictable you have those things and a strong housing market and mortgage rates increasing rapidly. you have still strong balance sheets but you can also see interest rates probably rising and credit getting a little higher you have geopolitical unrest so you have the consumer who is kind of got two sides of the teeter to thor at any given point. you know better than anyone, every day that is changing for the consumer >> best buy sells at nine times earnings and levi strauss at 11 times. there's room for the nonhigh flying teches. and yet the nonhigh flying teches and the high flying teches is where everybody is clustered. hp is not. it's an expensive stock. >> right i'm seeing a note, as well, b of a overall card spending on a three year for the month of march up 23.2% only down 40 basis points year

cori. >> thank you so much, stay safe in lviv, and we'll get back to you for the latest developments soon. retired army general barry mccaffrey, we're bringing you in for just a little more breakdown on details of all this. some of these major military moves, general, thank you for being with us this morning. ukraine says that britain is giving them what they need. the u.s. also saying they're providing weapons. decode this for us. what do you think is actually being sent to ukraine? >> cori, it has been a simply magnificent performance by nato, by the united states, by individual countries like the united kingdom, to come together in a very short period of time. i served in nato headquarters for two years, in their political headquarters. i used to tell people it takes five to 15 years to make a decision. so in a matter of weeks, there's been a remarkable support. secretary lloyd austin, secretary of state blinken, they built a global consensus to support ukraine, never mind nato and individual countries. it's a new phase in the war now. they're trying to think through it. they're going to have to provide the tools
