you do do it, do it right with the proposed amendments that jordan davis has mentioned, that curtis bradford has mentioned, that others have mentioned and really smart people who have mentioned with lived experience in this type of housing. again, my name is david elliott lewis, tenderloin people's congress. thank you very much. >> thank you. can we have the next caller. >> hello. i am a san francisco resident of district 8 and i am going to echo a lot of the points that the previous commenters have made. we all read the chronicle article that exposed the deficient conditions of s.r.o.s and other supportive housing. i think it's no surprise we need oversight, but the mayor has that oversight and directly oversaw the departments and the mayor should not get any of the power. the little half and half to make the balance, that is not where she should have any power at all. in any case, i oppose this legislation and unless amended. at the very minimum, the majority of the appointed seats should not be appointed by the mayor, but ideally none of them should. and are you kidding me with the mercha

. >> thank you supervisors, my name is curtis bradford cochair ofthe tenderloin peoples congress and a longtime tenderloin resident . i'm here today to ask of the budget committee not cut the funding for the tenderloin committee action plan from the planning budget and fully fund the positions needed to support the work of the community . years of hard work input from literally thousands of residents, hundreds of community meetings and amazing dedicated grassroots efforts by rtl resident coalition have gone into developing and informing a community center resident led planning process for theneighborhood that has been created by the community and deserves the critical funding to see it through . it's good for the city, good for the tl edits are planning to invest in the needs community has identified for itself. also the improvements we've made in the last six months could be washed away without this investment and honestly it would just be years moreof the containment zone status quo and it's just not acceptable and it's not good for the city . >> the speakers time has elapsed . >>
