yes i'm standing at the corner of lundy and sajak avenues in san jose. i'm actually standing on a around about this is a pretty residential area and around 7 30 san jose police tweeted about an elderly woman who was hit by a vehicle and unfortunately she lost her life. now what's what's so puzzling about this? this is the third time that someone has been hit today in san jose. police are telling us that to other people to other pedestrians. we're also hit earlier today. i believe one may have been on a bicycle. so we've been reporting for months about the number of traffic accidents and pedestrian deaths here in san jose, and today, unfortunately, has been no different. i want to read you some pretty alarming statistics . this is the 53rd traffic fatality in 2022. this woman is the 55th victim and the 28th pedestrian death, so the city has been taught talking about this $10 million grant that they have to try and make streets safer here in san jose, but until then, people really need to be careful as they're crossing the streets, and they're also asking
