cindy chavez has 66,728. the total votes right now are 138,000 more than that 138,000 votes, but the registrar's office tells me they have a lot of votes a lot of ballots in the back that are still yet to be counted in this very tight race between two very different candidates. we spend some time back there this morning take a look. the polls closed at eight tuesday, but the counting process in santa clara county is far from over the ballots keep piling in we were there just as around 2,000 volt by mail ballots were brought in from the us postal service filling up a portion of this warehouse things are going pretty fast. we have a lot of ballots to process because a lot of vote by mail ballots that got dropped off at the vote centers all the mail coming from the post office. we're expecting a lot of vote by mail ballots coming from them and then all of the people that voted at the vote center, it was a really high amount of people that went in and voted in person yesterday many of those ballots adding to the
