kemp's stump speech. the elephant in the room was the former president donald trump who not only encouraged an opponent but endorsed that opponent heavily in the primary against governor brian kemp, no real mention of any of that today. couple of mentions of the trump/pence ticket. a little joke from the former vice president, one encouraging people to go out and vote early saying you should e-mail, you should call, even tweet if you need to do that, everybody kind of laughed about it, but more than kemp we heard the former vice president talking about kemp's opponent democrat stacey abrams attempting to cast her almost as a scary figure trying to pit them against each other in manners and saying you got to keep out of the governor's mansion and any other higher office something that the could even try to go as far as the white house something that the abrams' campaign has said has many different undertones to it, saying she wanted nothing more than to be governor which of course is why this is rematch fr

incumbent governor brian kemp is projected to win a second term over stacey abrams. georgia officials say there will likely be a runoff in the senate race given democrat raphael warnock and republican herschel walker. abc's sieve osunsami is in atlanta. >> reporter: the rematch between brian kemp and stacey abrams, brian kemp won again, beating stacy abrams with a significant lead that started early in the evening and he never let up. stacey abrams has conceded, called brian kemp. he will be the governor for the next four years. the u.s. senate race, it's a slightly different story. if you're looking at the most current vote totals, they put the incumbent senator democrat, raphael warnock, ahead. his party is still going on behind me, his supporters are still here, hoping that there are enough outstanding votes that they might, i underline might, be able to eke out a victory here. even though that looks unlikely. what looks more likely is that he will head to a runoff election against republican nominee herschel walker four weeks from tonight. byron? >> steve osunsam

but it's not that close between kemp. so tell me why that is the case here in georgia. >> i think the democrats ran a good campaign against walker. but it's not a personality competition. and the whole country is relying on us, georgians to get this right. >> thanks, ma'am. what is the number 1 issue for you? >> for me, it's the economy and inflation. just the price of groceries and gas is -- i'm a small business owner. i drive every day for a living. it's a lot. >> thank you, ma'am. one lady i want you guys to talk to. we've been talking a little bit what is the number 1 issue for you today? >> it's the future of our country. my children's future. i have two teenage girls. i am concerned about what the future is going to be like for them. i need to vote my conscious and vote the way that i feel will protect their future. >> thank you, ma'am. if you talk with voters, they will tell you when it comes to the mudslinging between walker and warnock and women and the allegations out there, they say it's a wash. looks like both

federal democrats delivered that money, not brian kemp.nd we know that he's currently sitting on more than $400 million in affordable housing assistance to stop evictions and refusing to deploy that money. there's a 60% rejection rate. wsb actually did a very fantastic story about it, so i encourage people to look it up. but let's understand that there are four issues in georgia, affordability, inventory, gentrification, and homelessness. he does not have a plan to address any of those issues directly. by refusing to put money into the state budget to tackle these issues, he is not solving the problem. piecemeal solutions and stop gap dollars does not mean that you have a plan, and brian kemp has failed to do anything on real estate, except make money off of it as governor, he's made hundreds of thousands of dollars in real estate and recently told a black radio forum, when he was asked whether he would allow local governments to tackle the issue of affordable housing through giving them more control over housing prices, he said no, he did

kemp at 59, abrams 48.6. that shows you the difference in terms of performance. 43% of the vote in in georgia. we expect to stay lclose all evening. north carolina cheri beasley at 52% to ted budd's 46.3%. you heard that breakdown about where the votes are out. there is reason for the budd campaign to potentially be optimistic here. we will be sticking close all night. 55% of the vote in there. now let's go to ohio where tim ryan is out to an early lead, 56.9% to j.d. vance's 43%. but it is still extremely early in ohio. this is a state that has trended very red in recent years. 29% of the vote in in ohio. now let's go to new hampshire where maggie hassan is sitting at 67% to don bolduc's 38.2%. democrats in new hampshire telling me they feel very good about where maggie hassan is at this hour. of course, extremely early, just 14.9% of the vote has been counted in new hampshire. but now let's check in on pennsylvania because we can compare these numbers here to what boris told us in the governor's race. john

and the voters in georgia kept saying we know kemp.w he did this for me, when you have that personal touch it matters. speaking of president trump, i think he's going run this is what he had to say. watch. >> going to win in 24 we're taking back that beautiful house. i'm not going to say it right now i promise you, in the very next, very, very short period of time, you're going to be so happy. okay -- you're going so surprised. this is tonight i'm not going to announce to run but going back to take back the white house in 2024. >> yeah. well first of all we have a election coming up about three days so let's keep our focus on that. if you're the presidents or folks talking about 2024 no matter who you are and number two, look, this is not going to be a cake walk president trump or anybody else i think whether ron desantis will get in and they need to earn it this won't be given to anybody and i think very much so no matter who it is -- we need to keep the focus on joe biden. we can't talk about past elections or talk about 2020. talk a

how worried is the walker campaign without kemp on the ballot, considering that kemp pulled in 200,000 more votes in the official midterm election than walker did? >> yeah, that's exactly right. well, what the walker campaign has right now is a verbal commitment and a very verbal support from brian kemp that they weren't getting ahead of the actual election itself. we had not seen herschel walker and brian kemp campaigning together until after the general election and then into the runoff. they have campaigned together once. these mailers speak to only brian kemp. he's the most popular republican anywhere in the state. he won his own race by eight points. huge outperformance of herschel walker. herschel walker needs those kemp voters who didn't vote for him the last time around and even the ones who did vote for him the last time around to come back out to the polls without control of the senate on the line. it does feel like it's drained a lot of the intensity away from this race. so they've got to get republican voters especially those brian kemp voters to come back out to the polls

let me again by offering congratulations to governor brian kemp. state has experienced one soul crushing crisis after another over the past few years. even during these trying times the fighting spirit of georgia has prevailed. we have seen what is possible when we stand up for our neighbors and protect each other. we have made sacrifices, we have pitched in, we have seen each other's fights as our own and we have done things we never thought we could. it is in the spirit of that endurance, and that persistence, that i decided again to run for governor. kemp is running at 51.6. walker is running at 47.1. so again it's about the 4-point spread that you see between walker and between kemp. >> there's a libertarian in the race, the senate race that's getting 3 times the vote of the libertarian and the governor's race in georgia. i don't know if that factors in. there's a difference. >> it could take votes away. i can't reflect that on the board behind me but listen, a point could be significant, right? can i show you what's happening to ohio before i kick it back over there real quick. here is ohio, here is ryan vance. it's a different race than what we saw 15 minutes ago. vote total of 23,000. here is what i would think about. i would think about kayahoga county. ryan has more votes in cleveland, ohio. franklin county, a lot of votes out there, guys, 30% in. ryan will pick up a few more. down here in hamilton county and cincinnati is the east side of the county, a lot of votes out there for ryan in all likelihood because you are checking in at 30%. come back in a moment here and i shall

governor kemp though joining herschel walker on the campaign trail now.ecause governor kemp outpaced herschel walker in the general election by about 200,000 votes. so about 200,000 georgians voted for kemp but did not vote for walker on that same ticket. so he is out on the trail now, and even appears in an ad in support of walker. let's take a look. >> families are struggling because of biden's inflation and washington won't change unless we make them. georgia's doing better than the rest of the country because we stood up for hard working families. herschel walker will vote for georgia, not be another rubber stamp for joe biden. that's why i'm backing herbal a herschel and i hope you join me in voting for him, too. >> reporter: kemp's get out the vote operation in full force in support of walker as well. but they will have to contend with a pretty robust get out the vote operation on the democratic side as well. both sides running out of time here. early voting underway, but the last day georgians have to vote december 6th. >> eva mckend, you have been

governor kemp.lection and certainly out performed what we saw from herschel walker on the senate side. and look again at those numbers. that was a relatively easy win for governor kemp at least by recent georgia standards and certainly a wider margin than what we saw the matchup that he had with stacey abrams four years ago. compare those numbers and percentages though to the senate side. here again the key is that both warnock and walker are below 50% and do appear headed to that december 6th run off. so we all just hang in there. i'm feeling good. we always knew that this race may be close. >> i'm not ricky bobby. i don't come to lose. and i told you he's going to be tough to beat. he's going to be tough to beat but, let me tell you what, he has the wrong georgia head on him. >> warnock for what it is worth has experience in runoffs how he won the seat first place january the 5th of 2021. just point out one note from our fox voter analysis we come back 93% of voters that we spoke to say they consi

brian kemp eliminated that until 5:00 p.m. biden won by 7,000 votes that were provisional ballots. out of the 12,000 votes he got, 7,000 came from provisional ballots that would be disallowed under the new laws. brian kemp is an exceptional voter suppresser, as is brad raffensperger. that's why we need everyone to show up. the overwhelming performance we have seen from voters is in response to 202. an attempt to overcome 202. what we know, the best way to stop them from having this kind of power is give power back to the people by electing me as the next governor, by elected democrats up and down the ballot and proving once and for all that georgians will not bow cowed by cowards trying to deny them access to the vote. >> brian kemp was secretary of state. he built the state voter suppression system so he could become governor, and he has got it locked in with this new law to make it as hard as possible to vote him out. that's how they do it, how they get power and never give it back. be very aware if you're a voter in georgia

so kemp is at 42 and a half roughly. back to the senate race and you see herschel walker after the 38. this seems to be for the past, listen, it's early. but for the past 30 minutes or so. seem to see walker trailing kemp's margin by about 4, 4 and a half points. we will watch that through the night as to whether or not there is some sort of pattern we are picking on there. there is a lot of talk kemp get above 50% and walker would not. see if that's the case that develops. few of the places up here i want to go to new hampshire because this first numbers we are seeing now. maggie hassan the democrat. now, remember, a couple months ago, republicans thought she was the easiest pickoff on the entire map. it did not shape up that way and don bolduc, the general got in the race. he has been doing a ton of town halls throughout the state. polls in the last couple of weeks suggested he is pulling close and race is getting tight. right now it's early. only 5% of the vote coming in. and we talked to bolduc this week and he was t

brian kemp the continued governor. the incumbent governor will be governor again in georgia. 54% to 45%. >> he gets over 50%. >> he won't be going to a runoff. we wait to see what happens in the senate race. enormous early vote that came in this georgia, 2.5 million votes came in early. after this voting law passed in georgia that was called jim crow 2.0. stacey abrams talked about that a lot. she said don't try to get water or food online because governor kemp forbid you to have that waiting in line to vote. a wig bin. >> we just got word that stacey abrams has conceded. concedeed to brian kemp. >> for both elections? >> [laughing]. >> wow! >> we should have a drum or something. bret? >> this margin is important. herschel walker is running behind in polling. he comes in at 54. if that holds up that gets walker up to 50 possibly. that's how tight the race is and the challenge that walker faced is to get himself to 50 and above 50 in a runoff. >> that 54 we know it's going to be above 50 but not how high. stacey abrams

what if brian kemp and desantis have in common? trump to bring the victory's home. you have to wonder who really is the leader of the republican party right now? is that the former president or is it may be desa desantis/brian kemp, glenn youngkin the new blood. >> todd: we will have answers november 15th potentially about the presidential run or an announcement, we will seek. brian a lot of people are waking up this money probably conservative voters thinking, we didn't have the night we wanted. but if republicans get control of the house, kevin mccarthy with victory, it does not look like that will happen but what can republicans do from an economic standpoint to stop the bleeding in our country? >> they can push back on every single one of the regulations that joe biden is planning to do or has done and having a senate would be helpful for that. they need to be a roadblock. look, if you are the minority party and you have one house, you stand in the way every chance you can get your the best you can hope for with biden governmen

meantime let's look at some of the high profile gubernatorial races around the country, brian kemp noblem beating stacey abrams in georgia again. beto o'rourke in texas facing off with greg abbott losing again. but the news wasn't all bad for the democrats as far as gubernatorial races were concerned. kathy hochul and gretchen whitmer both beat their republican opponents despite tighter than expected races. a runoff likely in the great state of georgia, it could change but unlikely between now and then. we'll also keep a very close eye on what's happening in arizona and of course nevada as well. a fun morning for us i hope before the show's over we get to call another race guys. >> brian: let's do it even if it's premature. i'm only kidding. >> steve: no, no, no. >> ainsley: not going to happen. >> steve: waiting for somebody to call us on the red phone. all right kevin thank you very much. >> brian: you have to figure, too, if there is a runoff that libertarian goes away, it is just warnock against walker and joe biden is so unpopular in georgia, if it becomes about the balance of po

fast forward nearly two years and we have donald trump still angry with brian kemp, but brian kemp is in the state and won by a lot tuesday night so the big question is will herschel walker who is up in this runoff, will he bring donald trump in for him or continue to keep him away as that walker campaign has done? it did not help win a runoff in 2021 and it doesn't look like it would help in 2020. >> you mentioned kemp, i mean not having the popular republican governor on the ballot, what do you think that does for herschel walker in the runoff? >> yeah, i think it's a problem. there was a lot of hope among republicans about governor kemp would finish by such a huge margin over 50% that he could drag herschel walker over that finish line. there are a number of georgia voters, republicans who voted for governor brian kemp who did not vote for herschel walker but the governor has a huge ground game. he built up his own ground game. turned on that switch, got all of his voters out to the polls, which he said would help all of the other republicans on the ballot. that helped everyone exc

the brian kemp factor. how much is that going to make a difference, how involved might brian kemp get with herschel walker and his campaign? is it going to be a head nod to that? >> he ran so far ahead of walker. >> talk through what you're seeing on the ground there. >> brian kemp is a huge factor here, didn't do much of anything to help herschel walker in the general. he knew that herschel walker could potentially drag him down, he wasn't going to do that so he kept him at arms length. obviously he's come out and said he supports him. the most support could have been when they were on the ballot together and brian kemp not being out there is going to hurt herschel walker. not a lot of enthusiasm for herschel walker, he trailed all throughout election night. so how do you get people excited for herschel walker? do you bring in donald trump? you have senators across the country coming in because if everything is on the line for them. i have to think the enthusiasm is with democrats. a crazy thing to say, th

kemp doesn't want him there. walker doesn't want him there. and how do you dance around that issue, when the president is saying i want to come and rally the troops and win this seat, because he wants the credit for getting the senate majority for republicans. and so that's going to be an interesting pressure point over the next few days and weeks. >> what about the allegations that walker faced? any indication that they ended up mattering? >> that's really not clear, and i think that will become clearer as this runoff proceeds. there were frankly a lot of voters who held their noses and voted for herschel walker anyway because they saw what was on the line. the question for me is really the gap between kemp's performance and walker's performance, and how many of those voters will continue to show up for herschel walker, and how many will stay home, and whether the infrastructure that kemp has is going to turn on a dime to support herschel walker. those are things that actually play into warnock's favor. i think there is going to be a strong g
