claudine heather, we're here along st andrews road in the oakland hills, which isn't very far from the oakland zoo. and if you look behind me here, there is a massive landslide that right around nine a.m. this morning, this whole hillside came cascading down, and there's a large oak tree that's now planted in the middle of the street. that oak tree used to be on the hillside crews have been out here and all over the east bay, trying to clean up messes just like this one. wet weather may have subsided, but storm caused problems didn't let up monday. in livermore, floodwaters surged into homes and galloway street in the predawn hours. just feel sick to my stomach right now. pretty much gloria, full force home filled with six inches of water . she spent the morning mopping up the messes. the waters receded. i'm like thinking, okay, no flood insurance. i tried to get flood insurance several years ago, and they said , oh, you're not in the flood zone. you don't need it. and here we are. brandon taz home was spared. but not his car woke up today so that my car was flooded and kind of freaked

thank you, claudine.re still seeing big effects from the storm over the weekend, a road in senator cruz mountains close this morning after it collapsed part of the glenwood drive area in scotts valley has started sinking. and neighbors say it looks like it's getting worse. the same road has been damaged before during stormy weather. county did a great job just up the street because this top four or five years ago failed similarly, and they repaired it up there. and it's like they're going to have to do the same again. neighbors expect the county will have to make repairing that road a top priority since it's used by so many people in the scotts valley area. sinkholes buckled roads and down trees have caused closures and other parts of the santa cruz mountains. the chp says highway nine is only open to one way traffic between paradise park the glengarry road this morning it was shut down in both directions yesterday. there's also a full closure at glenwood drive and the glenwood cut off just west of highwa

usually after the major event and we know that this is significant today and so again, i want to thank claudine for her work and advocacy. the work she not only does to help promote cost culture -- and the work she does year-round to ensure the history and the culture of the asian community as a whole is celebrated and honored in only ways that we know how to do in san francisco. so, i'm looking forward to an exciting time, jay. people visiting the asian art museum, people going to china town and spending a lots, and lots of -- lots of money and they will give you a deal if you fight for it. people eating and enjoying the great food and cuisine. it's an amazing and special city and it's celebrated in so many ways and that's why people like a treasurer, atheon ma and state leader, malia cohen and even though they serve on the board of supervisors, they come back time and time again because they know san francisco is the place to be to celebrate our history, culture and diversity which is an important part of our strength. thank you for being here and choosing san francisco to do this first unvei
