and then as we keep an eye on some of our creeks and rivers here locally, the san lorenzo river is expected to go up to flood stage today to minor flooding expected over the next couple of hours. so be really careful in those areas and avoid being near the river. and for alameda creek near niles canyon we are expecting it to continue to flood today. it's going to reach its peak at about 7:00 as well so the water level is still going up, but then as we take a look at our reservoirs, they had a huge boost, and now we're seeing many of them over capacity for today as the additional rainfall continues to flow down into those reservoirs. we do expect them to go up a little bit more. when we look at the lexington reservoir a 66.7% rise in the last 45 days. it's less than a foot from spillover. we will be closely watching that thinking back to about december 1st only at 33% of capacity, so a big boost there as we've gotten all of these storms, this one marks the 11th storm in that series and hopefully will be the last before we get a chance to dry out. as we get a look at storm ranger right now ev

seen all of that water draining down into our creeks and rivers and are still expecting them to crest as we go into the next couple of hours. the sanenzo river at felton expected to reach its highest point at about 7:00 in the morning, so we do have another hour but if you are anywhere in that area, you do want to make sure you're moving away because the water will continue to rise. also the alameda creek near niles expected to crest at about 7:00 as well at moderate flood stage at 12.8 feet. reservoirs continue to come up. we're also going to see a lot of the ones that are at or over capacity continue to flow over in parts of the north bay like lake sonoma. looking at the lexington reservoir today it's at 100%. looking back to december 1st it was down to 33.3% so a huge increase in just over the past 45 days. still rain in the area but is moving off to the east. we're still seeing lingering showers for the east bay, concord and antioch and discovery bay. it's getting lighter as you move over to los altos and we'll see the back edge of that more widespread rain starting to continue to move on through. we're looking at still some we

all that have draining down and we are awaiting the rise of the san lorenzo river at felton expected to crest within the next hour and it is expected to reach about 17.3 feet. and then also the alameda creek near niles expected to crest in the next hour as well and it is going to produce some moderate flooding so we've seen that ongoing as also our reservoirs have had a huge boost here recently. a lot of them at capacity or overflowing. and as we go into today we'll watch those water levels very closely, even just the lexington reservoir going back to december 1st it was at 33.3% of capacity. today 100%. and we've seen it rise about 66.7% in the last 45 days and at last check it was less than a foot from spillover. so those increased flows will continue for the los gatos creek as we go into today. and for the sierra snowpack, also a huge boost from all of these storms right now statewide we're at 245% of normal. and if we extend it out to april 1st, if we don't get another snowflake, we'll still be at 117% of normal so we've had a lot of snow, and we're expecting another foot or two

river at st. helena where we expect it to stay just below that minor flooding but it's going to be very close so you do need to continue to monitor it. the sant more heavy rainfall and here we're looking at it cresting at 11:00 this morning at about 20 feet. and so that's when we're going to see the highest of the water levels for today. in the south bay, looking at coyote creek at edenvale, it may get close to minor flooding. we're going to see that cresting at 5:00 this evening. let's look at how much rain we've seen so far. some areas have gotten a lot. other areas are still looking at it coming in and adding up. in livermore only about 0.3 of an inch of rainfall. san jose about half an inch of rainfall. you can see what half an inch of rain has done. as you move to the santa cruz mountains to ben lomond, over 3 inches of rain. over 2 inches for the north bay. that's where the heaviest rain has been focused. it's going to start to shift to the south as we see the storm system pushing further to the south as well as we go into today. widespread rain continuing and some of it coming in with some heavier waves and pockets of some of those do
