the students who were killed have been identified as ariel anderson, brian frazier and alexandra vernerazier was president of his fraternity. anderson wanted to be a doctor and verner was studying forensics people who knew them are now trying to honor their lives as they grieve their loss. she walked so softly by day and in our hallways and just modeled great leadership and doing what's right and being a great kid and daughter and friend. how is it possible that this happened in the first place? an act of senseless violence that has no place in our society and in particular no place at school. two of the victims were from the same community right outside detroit. the suspect in the shooting is dead, police say . as of now, they still don't understand why he targeted the university. many states are reporting a spike in child abuse and neglect of the last few years, experts say stress from the pandemic is a contributing factor. things like the loss of loved ones, unemployment and other challenges from the pandemic are still issues with people that they're dealing with today. unfortunately
