also looking one of you can hear mike and claudine speaking.hey're a little rain did little to dampen the spirits of chinese new year crowds. organizers of this year's parade in san francisco put on an amazing show last night, sal and i were there, as was rosemary oroczo shows us that celebration as we ring in the year of the rap. beginning with a bang. to scare off evil spirits and the rain. the chinese new year parade had people packing the streets of san francisco all in anticipation. it's just super fun. i just like to come here and enjoy it. tradition spanning generations. i just wanted to share some of our culture and history with our children. hold that everybody happy. everybody come out to celebrate our chinese new year from the colorful displays and dances. to the sounds and sights celebrating culture with no shortage of smiles in something for even the youngest tots. we've been talking about dragons for the past week at least anticipation of this parade. everyone was welcoming in the year of the rabbit, a sign of kindness and compass

special newscast at five p.m. and then the parade coverage begins at six o'clock with mike mibach and claudine right now. we have to check in with south. so a few things to know about what the in terms of the morning commute. yeah we have better news now on highway four has been reopened at you come up on morello. it's still close. still slow in the area. let me put it on the map here. there was an earlier very serious crash on westbound highway for it was there for a while there is still a backup that's going to dissipate. but now the lanes are open. it might be actually a little bit better for you as you drive west. let's talk about the bay bridge. you can see that is backed up all the way out to the mcarthur maze . and if you're driving on 88 doesn't look all that slow. san mateo bridge traffic is okay. if you are driving through. we haven't really had a lot going on in san jose. however northbound 101 we do have a crash approaching the 2 80 interchange and that has traffic backed up from the capitol expressway. you have some pretty good alternates in mind here. you can use 85 or 87, or, uh
